Kalshi trade journal and P&L tracker tools compared

Five ways to know whether your Kalshi trading makes money, from the free stuff Kalshi already gives you to dedicated journals. We build one of them, so the last column is ours; the rest is checked against each product's own site as of September 2026.

Kalshi's own statements and CSV

Free and authoritative. The monthly statement gives FIFO P&L with and without fees, updated at the start of each month. The positions CSV in Documents is the raw material every other tool on this page uses. What it lacks is anything between months: no curve, no category split, no notes.

Spreadsheet

Zero cost, total control, and fine at low volume. The work is in matching buys to sells or settlements per market and side and applying the fee on every leg. Our fee guide has the formula if you go this route.

kalshi-dash (open source)

Upload the Documents CSV and get P&L charts and trade stats in the browser, nothing leaves your machine. Great if you want free and self-hosted. You re-upload to refresh, and there is no journal layer.

PredictBoox

A portfolio tracker for Kalshi and Polymarket with journal notes and export-ready records, currently in beta behind a waitlist. Free tier tracks 15 bets; Pro is $19.99/month and Genius (tax workflows) $39.99/month. The closest product to ours.

FillBook (this site)

Paste a read-only Kalshi key or the CSV, or a Polymarket wallet address, and it imports fills and settlements, applies Kalshi's official market categories, and keeps syncing daily. You get realized P&L with fees folded in, win rate by category, an equity curve, edge by holding time, and notes and tags per position. Free covers the last 60 days; Pro ($15/month) unlocks all-time. Where it is weaker than the others: no tax-form export yet, and it is not open source.

FAQ

Does Kalshi have a built-in trade journal?
No. Kalshi gives you live positions, monthly PDF statements (FIFO P&L with and without fees) and a positions CSV in the Documents tab. There is no equity curve, no per-category win rate and nowhere to attach notes to a trade.
What is the cheapest way to track Kalshi P&L?
A spreadsheet fed by the Documents CSV is free and works if you trade a few times a month. Past that, matching fills to settlements and getting fees right by hand is where most people give up, which is what the tools below automate.
Is kalshi-dash still working?
Yes. It is an open-source, client-side tracker where you upload Kalshi's CSV. It broke when Kalshi renamed the export columns in 2025 and was patched in August 2026. It does not sync on its own and has no journal notes.
PredictBoox vs FillBook?
Both cover Kalshi and Polymarket with notes and analytics. PredictBoox is in beta behind a waitlist, prices Pro at $19.99 and Genius at $39.99 per month, and leans into export and tax workflows. FillBook is open to sign up now, free for the last 60 days of analytics, $15 per month for all-time, and leans into fee-accurate P&L and category edge.
